A pendant above a dining table is both a source of light and a visible part of the room. Light directed onto the table and colour used for atmosphere can play different roles within the same fitting.
The Zhexian ZX-H0255 pendant combines a downward white-light engine with a separate RGB accent channel. Its four dynamic scene presets pair the two, giving this 1200 mm linear design a choice of coordinated white and coloured light.
White colour temperature and RGB colour
White light can appear warmer or cooler. Correlated colour temperature, or CCT, expresses a light source's colour appearance using a kelvin value. The CIE's lighting vocabulary defines CCT and its unit, kelvin.
RGB refers to red, green and blue light. Mixing coloured LED sources can produce colours beyond different shades of white, as the U.S. Department of Energy's explanation of colour-tunable lighting describes. White-light adjustment and coloured-light effects therefore represent different design choices.
On ZX-H0255, the white engine is specified from 2700 K to 4000 K, while the RGB channel supplies the coloured accent. A scene name brings those two descriptions together rather than replacing them with a single colour-temperature number.
Four scenes, each a coordinated pairing
The scene table in the original ZX-H0255 specifications lists these combinations:
| Scene | White-light setting | RGB accent |
|---|---|---|
| Sky Mirror | 4000 K | Blue-white |
| Blue Hour | 4000 K | Blue-pink |
| Champagne Beach | 3000 K | Cyan-white |
| Sunset | 2700 K | Orange-red |
Sky Mirror and Blue Hour share the same listed white-light setting while changing the accent palette. Champagne Beach and Sunset pair a warmer white setting with a different coloured accent. The Kelvin values above are the named scene settings; measured sample values are listed separately in the datasheet.
The documentation describes the white engine and RGB channel operating together in each dynamic preset. The separate channel is part of the light-source design; the documented user experience is selection of coordinated scenes.
A linear form above the table
The ZX-H0255 body measures 1200 × 48 × 89 mm. Its aluminium housing and acrylic diffuser form a slender horizontal element suspended within the room. The downward white output and the decorative accent belong to this single pendant body.
Dining areas, tea rooms, bars and entertainment spaces are among the applications listed in the specifications. In those settings, a scene offers a defined combination of white-light appearance and accent colour. The table, surrounding finishes and other room lighting still contribute to the overall appearance.
Scene and brightness control
The supplied documentation lists a wall switch, remote control and mobile app for mode and brightness selection. These control options provide different ways to recall the pendant's scenes and adjust its output.
The appeal of the design is the combination: a linear pendant with downward white illumination and coordinated coloured accents. The scene choices make both layers part of the same lighting arrangement, while the body remains one continuous visual element above the space.
